Roy Foster

Roy Foster
, Chairman

Mr. Foster lives in Tulsa, OK and joined the board in 2004.  Mr. Foster has worked in Water/Wastewater Utilities for more than 20 years.  Presently, Mr. Foster is the Water Quality Assurance Manager for the City of Tulsa with primary responsibility for enforcing local environmental regulations.  Mr. Foster is a member of American Water Works Association, Southwest Water Works Association, Water Environment Federation and Oklahoma Water Environment Association.




Scott VanLoo

Scott VanLoo, Vice Chair

Mr. VanLoo lives in the Bixby area and has been a board member since 1998.  He is the Storm Water Quality Manager for the City of Tulsa.  Mr. VanLoo is the President of the Tulsa Area Conservation Foundation and a member of Water Environment Federation, American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Sierra Club, and Ducks Unlimited.




Craig Thurmond

Craig Thurmond, Treasurer

Mr. Thurmond is a resident of Broken Arrow, OK and became a board member in 1997.  Mr. Thurmond is Vice-Mayor of the City of Broken Arrow, a board member of the Tulsa Home Builder's Association and Tulsa Area Conservation Foundation, and president of Concerned Citizens for Broken Arrow Foundation



John Beasley

John Beasley, Board Member

Mr. Beasley is a resident of Broken Arrow and has been a board member since 2008.  Mr. Beasley teaches Environmental Science and Aquatic Biology at Tulsa Memorial High School.  He is a graduate of Northeastern State University in Tahlequah where he studied wildlife and fisheries management.  Mr. Beasley is a past recipient of the Conservation Educator of the Year for Oklahoma Congressional District I and a Sutton Award for Excellence in Environmental Communication and has recently been nominated for the Presidents Achievement Award by the Oklahoma Association for Environmental Education.





Michael Patton

Michael Patton, Board Member


Michael is director of a Tulsa based non-profit known as the Metropolitan Enviromental Trust (The M.e.t.). He has been involved in a variety of unusual promotions including crowning a local champion for Best Compost, sponsoring a "Grow your own Bat Night at the BallPark" and convincing elected officials to do a press conference in a storm pipe. Michael is a proud organizer and helper on litter cleanups, recycle lobbying, and hazardous waste collections.

He volunteers on many community boards, especially for tree and arts activities in Tulsa.
